Terms

antisubscribe is a one-time scan. You upload statements; we find your recurring charges; you pay $6 once to unlock the itemised list and the calendar export. That’s the whole service. By using it you agree to the rules below.

What you’re buying

  • One scan of the statement files you upload.
  • The itemised list of recurring charges with annualised cost estimates.
  • Downloadable .ics for calendar reminders and an optional Google Calendar sync.
  • A shareable image of the headline savings number.

The scan result is available for 24 hours via a one-time unlock link, then it expires.

Pricing

  • $6 USD, charged once per scan via Stripe.
  • The headline number (“we found $X/yr”) is shown for free before any charge. You see what you’re buying before you buy it.
  • No subscription. No auto-renewal. No recurring charges of any kind. We will never charge your card a second time.

All sales are final

Because the headline is shown for free before payment, all sales are final. If you’re unsure whether the scan found enough to be worth $6, look at the headline first — that’s exactly why it exists. If a charge obviously failed on our side (e.g. the scan completed with a server error and never produced a report), email hi@antisubscribe.example and we’ll reverse it.

Acceptable use

You agree to upload only:

  • Statements that belong to you, or that you have permission to scan.
  • Files within the size limit (25 MB per file).
  • A reasonable number of scans per day. We rate-limit by IP and by file fingerprint to prevent abuse.

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, redistribute, or resell the service or its outputs as a service of your own.
  • Reverse-engineer the detection pipeline or attempt to bypass the paywall.
  • Use the service to process statements belonging to a third party without their consent.
  • Upload material that contains anything other than financial transactions (no personal correspondence, no medical records, no other people’s data).

What we promise

  • We make a best-effort attempt to find every recurring charge in your statements.
  • We disclose our subprocessors (see Privacy) and the data each one sees.
  • We don’t sell your data, ever. Statements live in memory; results auto-expire in 24 hours.

What we don’t promise

  • Perfection. Bank statements are messy and merchant strings lie. We catch most things, never all things. Always confirm with the merchant or with your card statement before cancelling anything.
  • Financial advice. We surface charges; what to do with them is your call. We’re not a financial advisor, accountant, or tax preparer.
  • Continuity. We can change, suspend, or shut down the service. Scans already paid for will still be honoured for their 24-hour window.

Calendar integration

If you connect Google Calendar, you authorise us to create renewal events on your behalf using thecalendar.events scope. We do not read your existing events. The OAuth token is used once and discarded. You can revoke our access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Events we create are visible to you; they’re tagged in the description so you can audit or remove them later.

Intellectual property

  • The output of a scan — the list of subscriptions, the report, the downloads — is yours.
  • The site, brand, code, copy, and underlying detection logic remain ours.
  • You may share the headline image freely. Please don’t remove the antisubscribe wordmark from it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for anything related to the service is capped at the amount you paid for the relevant scan — $6. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including missed cancellations, surprise renewals, or subscriptions we did not detect. The service is provided on an “as-is” basis.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts there. (At $6 a scan, we don’t expect this section to come up.)

Changes

We may update these terms. The Last updated date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be noted on the home page for 14 days.
